This batten is made solid wood  and is sanded to  knifes edge.  It measures 22" x 2.5" x .75  and is between 7 and 12 ounces depending on the wood you choose.  Check out the the janka values to help you determine what weight you'd like to get close to  https://www.handywomanshop.com/wood-choices.  This is a professional batten used in Mayan backstrap weaving.
